Have you ever thought the dark would disappear? The pain your child inflicts on you is like being in Hell in the Twilight Zone. Your life spins around in a hellish merry go round and you just want it to stop so you can get off and try to take a breath of fresh air. This is a small description of what it feels like when your Daughter’s on drugs and she has no sense or care of the world around her!
You want to scream out for someone to help you and your daughter. When you look into your Wife’s eyes and you know she’s been crying your heart breaks in half! You want to scream out at your daughter and tell her you don’t want her in your life anymore, but as a dad she will always be your sweet little baby girl whose life has been crushed by drugs.
It gets to the point where you need therapy and anti-depressants to cope with the situation of hopelessness! You know when your around your other daughter you try not to lose it and take out your hostility on her but then you look into her eye’s and see how upset she is too, to see her sister like this. You pray to God every night to protect her and your family but after a few years you wonder if this is some kind of crazy test.
Just about as you are about to give up, you’re daughter feels a beacon of light on her and God has given her another chance. You pray that the time has come where she finally has awakened. Still sleeping will always be a necessity and not a luxury anymore. This is how it feels when my daughter is on drugs.
Now we are so grateful that’s she’s turned her life around. We are so proud of her. Thank You God!
